Green beans are harvested at an immune stage and they are sometimes called wax beans. In shelled varieties, only the seeds are eaten. Such as lima beans are harvested while they are still tender; others are left to mature. These shelled beans are high in protein and iron. It contains folate and vitamin A and C.
